A Guide to Understanding SoHi Private Foundation

Our Journey

At SoHi Private Foundation, our journey began with a vision to provide critical mental health support to our everyday heroes: first responders, medical personnel, and military members. Our founder, Adam Kenny, experienced a transformative moment in 2019 during a life-changing heart surgery. This pivotal event not only reshaped him physically but also ignited a passion for establishing SoHi as a means to support and uplift those who selflessly serve our communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear: to create positive changes in the mental health system, ensuring that those who dedicate their lives to the well-being of others receive the care they truly deserve. We firmly believe in the perpetuity of our foundation, seeking to impact future generations positively.

The SoHi Difference

SoHi Private Foundation distinguishes itself through its unique ability to provide confidential mental health solutions to first responders and medical workers. Our 501(c)(3) private foundation status with the IRS grants us separation from state entities, enabling us to offer mental health help without jeopardizing security clearances or employment status. This feature ensures that those with sensitive jobs can access the care they need while actively improving their mental health.

Our Partnerships

We've forged strong partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to mental health. SoHi-NY, our public, nonprofit counterpart, amplifies our reach by promoting positive change in the mental health landscape. Additionally, we've collaborated with like-minded businesses and wellness providers, such as Annette's Massage Therapy, to offer holistic healing approaches.

Projects That Make a Difference

SoHi Private Foundation sponsors initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health. One of our projects, BARC-NY, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit designed to connect rescue animals with those seeking companionship, particularly teens and young adults. This program helps improve mental health while supporting first responders and medical workers.

Get Involved

We encourage individuals and organizations to join us in our mission. Whether you're interested in partnerships, sponsorships, volunteering, or making a donation, your involvement contributes to the mental well-being of our heroes.
